The NU1036-XL-MPAX FAG is a single-row cylindrical roller bearing with cage. This bearing consists of a solid inner and outer ring with cylindrical rollers in a cage. This cage prevents contact between the cylinder rollers, so this bearing type can support higher speeds than full-complement cylinder roller bearings. Also, single-row cylindrical roller bearings with cages are very rigid and they can take high radial forces. As the inner and outer rings of these bearings can be easily disassembled, they are very easy to install. Applications of single-row cylindrical roller bearings include gearboxes, agricultural machinery, pumps, compressors, and electric motors.
The NU1036-XL-MPAX FAG is a single-row cylindrical bearing with NU design. The outer ring of this bearing has two rigid ribs, while the inner ring has none. As a result, NU bearings are only capable of supporting radial forces. This bearing type is commonly used as a floating bearing. Floating bearings allow axial displacement of the shaft relative to the housing in both directions. This is necessary in applications where the shaft material shrinks or expands due to temperature changes (thermal expansion). NU bearings can also be used as support bearings by combining them with HJ angle rings (available separately). Support bearings can support radial forces and also axial forces in a single direction.
The NU1036-XL-MPAX FAG is an X-life type cylindrical roller bearing. X-life bearings provide better performance than normal cylindrical roller bearings due to a special internal construction. Contact surfaces, steel grade and rolling bodies are of a higher quality. X-life bearings combine a higher load capacity with a longer service life. The bearings generate less heat and allow for higher speeds. Finally, X-life bearings allow for longer maintenance intervals compared to normal cylindrical roller bearings.
