Product description

The 11212/C4 SKF belongs to the group of double-row self-aligning deep-groove ball bearings. This bearing type with a widened inner ring is a double-row bearing. Both rows are housed in a spherical raceway in the outer ring. This construction allows the bearing to be self-aligning. This means that any misalignment of the shaft relative to the bearing housing does not adversely affect performance.

These features make the 11212/C4 SKF highly suitable for applications where substantial misalignment or shaft deflections may occur. Also, self-aligning bearings have the lowest friction of all rolling-element bearings. Even at higher speeds, there is only limited frictional heat. These bearings are capable of handling high radial loads. To a lesser extent, they can be axially loaded in both directions.

Finally, the 11212/C4 SKF has a widened inner ring. This construction is designed for use in less demanding applications with conventional shafts. Bearings with widened inner rings have a special bore tolerance that will make (dis)assembly much easier. The inner ring has a recess on one side. This means that this bearing type can be very easily secured axially to the shaft with a pin or a locking screw.
