Product description

The PCF2.1/2 McGill is a ball-bearing stud type track roller or cam follower, of which the rolling elements combine low friction with high precision. Cam followers are designed for use with various types of tracks. Thanks to a thick-walled outer ring, they can withstand high radial loads. Instead of an inner ring, they feature a solid, threaded stud, enabling easy mounting. Axial loads due to alignment errors or misalignment can be absorbed in both directions. They are not mounted in a housing bore, but a flat (counter) track provides support.

The PCF2.1/2 McGill is equipped with a cage that prevents the rolling elements from coming into contact with each other. This design allows for a controlled movement of the rolling elements. There is lower friction compared to full complement cam followers, allowing for higher rotational speeds and less heat generation. Common applications of support rollers include conveyor systems, linear guidance systems, and cam mechanisms.
