    Magneto Bearing

    Magneto bearings have an internal design comparable to that of a deep groove ball bearing. However, the outer ring only has one shoulder on one side, making the bearing easy to (dis)assemble. The groove in the inner ring is slightly shallower than that of deep groove ball bearings, and generally pressed brass cages are used. Magneto bearings can be loaded radially and axially in one direction, and are often mounted in pairs. They are suitable for high speeds, but the load-carrying capacity is low. This type of bearing is used, for example, in small generators and gyroscopes.
