Dimensions
Roller bearings consist of an inner and outer ring with cylindrical rolling elements in between, such as cylinders or tapered rollers. Both full-complement versions and designs with a cage are available. Due to the larger contact surface area of the longer rolling elements, roller bearings can handle heavier loads than ball bearings. Roller bearings can accommodate radial, axial, or combined forces. They are used in heavy machinery, vehicles, and industrial equipment, among other applications.
