Single-direction tapered roller thrust bearings can withstand high peak loads, as well as heavy axial loads in one direction. This type of bearing, known for its high rigidity, consists of a shaft washer and a housing washer with tapered raceways. A cage with tapered rollers is located between them. Tapered roller thrust bearings can be disassembled, allowing both bearing washers and the cage with roller set to be mounted separately.
